Return Policy

We want you to be happy with your purchase, and at the same time, realize that sometimes items must be returned. Because we area a small operation, we must adhere to the following rules when accepting any item(s) for a refund. Kindly note the following return policy:
  1. Please notify us via email within 48 hours of the delivery date stated on the delivery confirmation notice included with your package that you wish to return an item and include the item number in this communication. All jewelry items require notification within 24 hours of receipt of the item. Please note this is a very important step in the return process because without notification we will not be alerted to watch our post office box for the parcel. Notification of intent to return any item(s) beyond the required 48 hours will render the transaction a FINAL SALE and no refund will be issued. Thanks for your cooperation.
  2. Jewelry items - please send us an email within 24 hours of receipt of the item if you intend to return the item.
  3. Item(s) must be post-marked for return to Vintage Virtuosa at P O Box 183, Westport, CT 06880, within 3 days of the delivery date to qualify for a refund.
  4. Return items must be received in exactly their original condition, undamaged, unworn, and with all vintagevirtuosa.com hang tags still attached, or no refund will be issued.
  5. Kindly package any items for return carefully and securely, insure them for the full amount and return to us, postage paid.
  6. Shipping costs, handling and credit card fees are not refundable. In addition, there is a 15% restocking fee on all accepted returns with the exception of evening wear and wedding gowns which are subject to a 25% restocking fee. Double check your measurements before ordering and don't hesitate to email us with fitting questions. We want you to be happy with your purchase and at the same time save you a trip to the post office should the item not fit properly. We sincerely encourage you to ask before placing the order.
  7. Refunds, less shipping costs, handling and credit card fees and restocking fees are issued upon receipt and inspection of the accepted item(s).
  8. Any item(s) being returned are your responsibility. There are no refunds issued on items damaged during shipping. Any claims against damage caused by shipping must be filed with the carrier.
  9. The following transactions are considered FINAL SALES and therefore non-refundable.
    a. All sale items - sale items well be designated in the description section of the item and will be marked, "Final Sale". No refunds will be issued on sale items.
    b. Any international sales - Any items shipped outside the United States of America are not eligible for return/refund due to customs costs.
    c. Any item designated in the description section as "Final Sale" is not eligible for return and no refund will be issued.
    d. Gloves, hats, lingerie, rompers and bathing suits are considered "Final Sales" and therefore not eligible for a refund. Furs are "Final Sale" too.
    e. In an attempt to prevent breakage, any glass item in the Homestead department is considered a "Final Sale" and therefore non-refundable.
