1970s Vintage Lanvin Bijoux Interchangeable Lucite Pendants Necklace


This highly coveted, vintage 1970s Lanvin of Paris Bijoux modernist interchangeable pendants necklace features three choices in marbled lucite: Emerald green, red and tortoise brown. Each pendant attaches to the thick snake chain pendant using a toggle-locking mechanism in gold plate.

The gold plated necklace frame is signed LANVIN, PARIS in an oval metal cartouche on the back.

Celebrity actresses Kiera Knightley, Goldie Hawn, Emma Stone, and Claire Danes, among others, have all been photographed wearing these 1970's Lanvin necklaces. ELLE Magazine Style Blog touts, "We love the laid-back sophistication of a graphic statement pendant as a singular stroke of polish to a look. Mid-century Modernist vintage designs from the likes of Trifari and Lanvin feel particularly covetable at the moment. As stand-alone elements, their characteristic geometric designs feel the most modern hung on a longer, sinuous chain".

Condition: The set (pendants and frame) is in excellent condition; no flaws to note. The original LANVIN box is in good condition with a few spots of age-appropriate wear.
Measurements: The gold plated snake chain measures 19.5" in length and is 4mm thick and has a spring "O" clasp.
The pendant measures 3 1/8" high and 2.5" wide. Each pendant is 3/8" or 9.5mm thick (gold plated piece of pendant is 10.5mm thick.
The entire necklace with one lucite interchangeable piece weighs in at 3.2 ounces or about 91 grams.
The original Lanvin logo box measures 8"X5"X1".
