1960's Meyers Cut Velvet Vintage Handbag
This 1960s Meyers handbag is fashioned of a cut velvet floral pattern in deep red, gold and black. With a shiny gold metal chain link handle and matching gold fleur de lis clasp and gold feet at the bottom to protect the velvet, this vintage purse is beautiful, well made and in excellent, barely used condition.
The bag opens wide on a hinge to one large main compartment and one side zip pocket. The cut velvet sides also 'pull away' to reveal two additional outer side slit pockets that can carry flatter items such as papers, play bills, programs......while cleaning out the bag, we found in one of these outer pockets, a program dated 1963.
Condition: Excellent, appears unused (ok it was carried at least once based on our findings.)
Measurements: 12" wide across the front at the bottom, 3" deep, 8 1/2" high with 4 1/2" handle.
