Wow! I love surprises and this vintage coat has all of that and more. There are endless possibilites with this fine vintage coat/jacket and you'll be on the road to discovery each time you wear it. The bottom quarter of this coat zips off and away taking it from a 3/4 length evening coat to a sassy and fun shorty jacket. The zip off lower skirt is just that, a skirt with box pleats all the way around and a wide 'waist band' that hides the zipper when in use. Now the coat does not zip closed in the front, but instead is more of a clutch coat with a two button closure at the neck and one at the waist. And we don't mean plain simple buttons, but brooch-like show pieces. The button closure at the waist is on the zip off section so only applies when the coat is worn 3/4 length. So if you're not looking to stay warm in a blizzard or in sub zero weather, this one will work. I love the versatility and the unique features. We've tried to capture this in the images so take your time as you view it. The coat is fully lined with fine satin and features velvet trim inside.
