1940's Dove Grey Wool Gaberdine Cinch Waist Double Collar Blazer Straight Skirt Suit
Rare 1940's Vintage Wool Suit. The blazer is stunning with a double large Peter Pan type collar, covered buttons, cinch waist, pockets and top stitched in a lovely contrasting mauve thread. Also on the sides of the pockets, at the side seams of the jacket, are three covered buttons on each side and all of the buttons are covered in the dove grey fabric aside from one, which is covered in a mauve fabric which matches the mauve color of the top stitching. The jacket alone is off-the-charts in quality and condition. By Freiss Original.
The skirt is midi length, straight and has six covered buttons at the bottom, three on each side to give a panel look to the front. The skirt, like the blazer, is amazing.
This suit would be in my closet if the jacket closed around my rib cage. Word of caution, the waist is cinched to 26" and 28" around the rib cage just under the bust, it really cinches in. The suit is lined and the skirt zips up the side with a metal zipper.
Condition: Excellent. Very slight and normal signs of wear at the back of the neckline in the form of faint discoloration where the skin met the fabric.
