RARE 1930's FLAPPER Sheared faux Fur Shawl, Crochet and Fringe Trim, Silk Satin and Chiffon Lining

This shawl is like no other, it looks and feels like sheared seal but we suspect it is actually faux. The front lapels hang long down the front, extending well below the knee depending on your height. Each side ends with crochet trim done in an 'X' pattern and finished with fringe, this same crochet and fringe can also be found along the bottom of the cropped rear of this cape. The color of the fur is dark chocolate with a creamy satin lining inside over which lies a mocha sheer chiffon outer lining so what you see is a smooth creamy satin beneath the tucks and gathers of the mocha sheer chiffon, a perfect contrast of color and texture. The images will convey what I attempt to describe, but what I can say is this cape is totally amazing, one-of-a-kind, one you won't see again.

Condition: Very Good/Excellent. The very good rating is due to the matted down edges at the front. In otherwise excellent condition, the crochet, fringe and lining are all in tact. The body of the shawl is amazing. The wear is at the very edges of the shawl, primarily down the front and around the neckline. We attempt to disclose even the normal signs of wear so you know what to expect.
Measurements:
One Size, worn open, no closures
Front lapels are 50" long to bottom of fringe
