Pink, Blue, Green Madras Plaid Chiffon 1950s Vintage Day Dress with Bow Detail in Back

A wonderful and typical-of-it's-time 1950s vintage day dress although this is suitable for evening as well. Bright lipstick pink meets electric blue and bright green in a madras plaid print chiffon vintage dress. Lined in a lilac taffeta with a tulle underskirt for fullness, this one is a true feminine 50's beauty. The folded shawl collar scoops around the back into a 'V' and further accentuated with a large bow in matching fabric. There is a matching belt to be worn at the fitted waistline and from there flows the very full skirt. Another dress from the 'ballroom dancer' that we just had to post even with its imperfections.

Condition: Good. There are two places at the bottom of the skirt on the left side at the hem where it seems as though 'she' attempted to iron this dress and in fact burned it. One mark is brownish with a very small hole, about the size as if the point of a pen was pushed through, the other, 5" up from the bottom of the hem, is lighter brown and the mark measures 2" in length (see photo) and within this area are two burn holes, the good news here is that it is where the dress is hemmed so the matching fabric shows from beneath. The dress could be shortened to eliminate the problem or the burned area can be cut away as the same fabric will show from beneath. We priced accordingly.
Measurements: Bust 39", Waist 30", Waist full, Length 46".
