1960's/70's signed Maurice Deep Purple Floral Print Vintage Maxi Dress
Vivid royal purple stretch weave knit with black polka dots lends itself as the backdrop to equally vibrant colors of orange, blue, pink and green, to name a few; it appears that the entire spectrum of colors is represented here. The fabric is signed by Maurice, attesting to the true artistry. The 'v' straps in the front are beautiful as they cascade back to straight lines in the rear of the dress, the waistband creates a fitted affect and the maxi skirt, gathered slightly at the waist, is full to the bottom.
The cropped vintage jacket of matching fabric with covered buttons (one is missing, see condition below) is a great addition to this two-piece vintage dress but can hold its own when worn separately, in fact, we might prefer these two pieces to be worn on their own at times. Any which way you assemble this vintage dress and matching jacket, you will find value in the versatility, one of the aspects we love about vintage clothing, especially two-piece ensembles such as this one.
Condition: The dress is in excellent condition with one very small faded spot at the waist on a flower petal, very faded. The jacket has one flaw, a missing button near the bottom, one button up from the bottom is missing.
