Item Number: 1153-0300 Beautiful Dusty Rose Renaissance Dress – c. 1960’s I am calling this a renaissance dress because it conjures that image for me. Beautiful chiffon covered with large faded dusty rose and pink flowers set the tone for this wisp of a dress. The bodice is stitched like a quilt with embroidery floss and silver threads and further outlined with gold braiding. The empire waist dips up in the center to meet the bodice and is wide, like a cummerbund to accentuate the waistline. The sheer bell sleeves are trimmed at the edge with the same braiding as found on the bodice. From the wide waistband flows the chiffon skirt pleated on the sides and at the rear for fullness only where you want it and left flat at the front for a slim look. The underskirt is soft pink and the dress is fully lined with a zipper at the rear. A very unique dress skillfully made with every attention to detail, which is sure to cause some, but not too much, attention to its wearer. Condition: Excellent. There is one spot on the lining only in the rear and not detectable from the outside. Measurements: Bust 38”, Waist 29”, Hips full, Length 41”, Sleeve Length 20 ½”.
