James GALANOS, a celebrated American fashion designer won the Coty award, the ultimate honor for fashion designers, two times in the 1950's and was later inducted into the Coty Hall of Fame. This designer, a man of perfection has none other than his clientele in mind insisting that his designs "feel beautiful on the inside". This dress, fashioned of the finest silk velvet, responds to the high standards set by this man who gets women. The softly draping cowl neck, the long sleeves, which taper down to soft gathers at the wrist with small zippers at the forearm for ease of wear, and the matching velvet belt strike the perfect balance in a dress so plush it will caress softness right into your skin, yet gives up nothing of its bold design and color.
