Breezy Hues of Blue Day Dress – c. 1960’s
The fabric is very unique in this dress with stripes alternating in both color and texture. The bolder white stripes have a sheen to them and are woven into the fabric creating a simulated ribbon-like effect. The darker blue stripes are woven in as well. The rounded neckline and armholes are set-off with dark blue piping and the wide waistline is a gathered cummerbund style. The gathered skirt is very full and tiered at the bottom with two pleats. Aside from the cummerbund waistline, the dress is unlined for a not-so subtle sheerness. Rear metal zipper. The label reads: L’AIGLON, Imported Fabric. Light, carefree and breezy, I love this dress.
Condition: The condition is very good with one ˝” run in the fabric in the back between the two pleats. Other than that the lightweight fabric has held up very well.
Measurements: Bust 34”, Waist 24”, Hips full to 36”, Length 38”.
