Gold Lame Evening Gown – c. 1960’s – Miss Continental
You can sashay into the room in this long and lean gown. The shirt style bodice of gold metallic knit is complete with copper satin pointed collar and matching cuffs that button closed with two small satin covered buttons. The micro pleated creamy gold skirt falls from the belted waistline ending in a sea of swirls at the hem. The colors, metallic variations, work in harmony to create a dramatic mood as you glow with the candlelight. There is a nylon zipper at the back of the dress. The label reads: Miss Contintental.
Condition: The condition is excellent. I would say this is mint except there is one tiny spot at the front just below the collar which I believe is the gold thread and not foreign matter. It is difficult to determine if this dress was even worn, it is in such good shape.
Measurements: Bust 35” – 36”, Waist 28”, Sleeve Length 24” shoulder to bottom of cuff, Length of dress 56”.
