1950s Luscious Pink Chiffon Vintage Cocktail Dress
Love, love, love this vintage cocktail dress of pink chiffon; when the little black dress just won't due because you want color for a change, wear this as you would black. The beautiful pink sheer bodice with cap sleeves gathers at the bust down to the slightly curved waist. Audrey Hepburn is featured in the book, "Audrey Style" in what looks to be this exact color and is also photographed in similar silhouettes throughout the book. Such a pretty dress just look at the rear view with the lovely petite bow at the bottom of the V, and the gentle gathers, oh, I could go on but the photos tell the story. It's fully lined and zips at the back. Stunning, pretty, soft and Audrey-pink, so lovely.
Condition: Very Good - I did not classify this as excellent because there is one faded spot in the front bodice on the sheer part of the chiffon. I tried to show this in the last photograph. It does show slightly when the camera lights are on it, in low evening light, it would not be glaringly present. A necklace would cover it.
Measurements: Bust, 32", Waist 24", Hips Full, Length 42". This is a small dress, probably a size 0 or 2 by today's standard.
