Vintage Black Knit Dress with A-Symmetrical Fringed Hemline-Open this one for more great photos
One of the pleasures of being in the vintage clothing business is finds like this one. The black ribbed knit will fit over you like a glove, but the full skirt won't give away the hips if that's a concern. Tight on the bodice with a full swinging skirt, an a-symmetrical fringed hem, turtleneck, long sleeves....it's all good. Oh, and a knit tie belt that fits low to give a drop-waist effect and also lends itself to the unstructured drop of the hem line, it couldn't be more perfect and I would go with the belt in this case. I love it with boots. It zips up the back for a better fit and fit it will, made to show off what you want and hide what you don't. This is a go! Probably from the 1960's.
Condition: Excellent.
Measurements: Bust to 38", Waist to 33", Hips full, Sleeve Length 21 1/2", Dress Length at longest point 53". All of this subject to interpretation because it is a stretchy knit.
