Black Crepe Cocktail Dress with Beading at Waist and Unique Hem-c. 1970's

This is a great black crepe cocktail dress with some unique design elements. The rounded neckline in front scoops around to a 'V' in back for that added sex appeal. The bodice is simple and elegant to allow for the detail at the waist and in the skirt to prevail. Black silky cord and gold rope serpentine around the entire waistband which is further embellished with black round beads and rhinestones creating great interest in the overall style of the dress. Now if you look closely at the photos you will notice that the hem is 'jagged', and this is intentional. The skirt is pleated and each pleat is cut on a diaganol and hangs loose forming 'points' at the ends. Hard to describe but the photos tell the rest of the story. What is important about the hem is the movement when you walk and dance and this is what makes it so much fun to wear. The label inside is ripped but I think it is "Romantica by Victor Costa" and if it is, lucky you because Mr. Costa prides himself on designing dresses that flatter the silhouette, basically this dress is designed to look good on your body so that you look good in the dress, simple enough?
