1950s Slate Blue with Black Velvet Trim Taffeta Vintage Party Dress by Ellen Joan
The fitted bodice of this slate blue taffeta vintage party dress is styled with black velvet trim and gleaming with tiny clear prong-set rhinestones. The full skirt, also trimmed in black velvet, lays over a black tulle underskirt for added fullness. The label reads, An Ellen Joan Original and the dress has a side zipper and matching narrow black velvet belt.

Condition: Excellent/Very Good. There is a rhinestone missing on the bottom row in the front of the bodice to the far left however on the backside of the fabric the metal pronged fastener which held the rhinestone is still in place. There is a missing rhinestone plus fastener on the back of the dress one row up from the bottom, under the arm which left a tiny hole where the fastener once was attached. We priced accordingly although these imperfections will probably only be known to the wearer. The matching velvet belt, as typical of this era, has cracked and can't be worn, it is easily replaced with a velvet ribbon.
