Item Number: 1115-0300 Atomic Flocked Chiffon Evening Party Dress with Dramatic Bow – c. 1960’s Silvery white swirls and black flocking orbit over the sheer chiffon in a repeated atomic pattern on this lovely vintage party dress. The neckline of the tank top bodice is rounded in front scooping to a deep ‘V’ in the back and is piped with black taffeta. The sheer chiffon at the bodice lies over champagne taffeta for a most feminine finish. The black taffeta gathered cummerbund flatters the waistline, wrapping to a dramatic bow in back that fishtails down the length of the skirt. The three-layered skirt is full with gathers all around, supported by a crinoline and softened with a taffeta lining. There is a metal zipper at the rear. It’s especially wonderful to find a dress in which the back is every bit as beautiful as the front, this one can be appreciated from all sides. Shown here with an additional crinoline (not included) for added fullness. Condition: The condition is excellent – two very small spots on the inside of the bodice lining only, not visible from the outside.
