1970's Watercolor Pastel Sheer Peasant Hippie Maxi Dress, Flutter Angel Sleeves
Soft oceanic hues of taupe, celadon and aqua accented with splashes of purple and white move like the tide over this very sheer and silky long dress. The circular flutter cap sleeves are more like angel's wings inset into the bodice extending down from the shoulders to the top of the waistline. The neckline is a deep ‘V’ in front and rounded in back with a nylon zipper. The bodice meets the empire waistline in soft gathers to accentuate the bust. The waistline gently nips in when the sashes which are attached at the sides are wrapped to the back and tied. The full-length skirt, gathered at the waist, floats down in weightless wonder as it whispers around the legs. So light, airy and feminine, wear this dress over a bathing suit at the beach, or slip it over sumptuous lingerie for the evening. Either way, it will float over you like a cloud.
