1950's 1960's Coral Silk Chiffon Ruched Bodice, Draped Goddess Cocktail Dress

This 1950's 1960's silk chiffon dress is all about the color. With a draped bodice that forms a portrait collar affect that sits wider on the shoulders, the look is all elegance. The waist nips way in to a small 24" and from under the soft gathers on the bodice, floats in tiny pleats, the lighter-than-air full skirt. Total beauty all the way around!!!

The dress is fully lined, features a taffeta underskirt and zips up the rear with a metal zipper. We pinned it onto our dress form because the waist was too small to work it on to the form. The rear bodice of the dress is ruched just like the front.

Condition: Very Good. We did some curating on this by reattaching the chiffon at the shoulder seams and armholes, a very good job we might add. There is a tear in the lining at one of the seams at the bust on one side, lining only but is detectable through the sheerness of the chiffon, the chiffon is in tact, see last image. Some (4 to 5) spots in the folds of the chiffon skirt in front which we did not attempt to remove. All of this is reflected in the price.
