1970s MOD HIPPIE Suede Embroidered Vintage Mini Dress Tunic, Bell Sleeves
The bright blue embroidered flowers are a nice contrast to the raspberry suede on this 70's HIPPIE SUEDE Vintage Mini Dress/Tunic. The silhouette is a very flattering MOD A-line with a mini skirt that swings out from the belted cinched waist. Princess seams extend the length for added shape and the Bell Sleeves bring more MOD to the look. The neckline is a 'V' shape and a heavy gold metal zipper closes down the front. The zipper does not however extend to the end of this vintage tunic, you actually step into it which is why I am not labeling it as a jacket. The flowers are done in a variegated blue and the leaves are an olive green. The embroidery stitching is in tact and not fraying. VERY GROOVY.
Unlined and zips up the front.
Condition: Good/TLC Recommended. Structurally, the dress is great. You can see signs of wear and discoloration in the photos. The shoulders are dusty looking. There are yellowy orange spots at the bottom. The bottom edge is raw so it is possible to cut away the discoloration as the zipper does not extend all the way to the bottom, you step into this dress. If you decide to shorten, you would just need to work around the embroidery at the bottom. Also, there is rub/balding to the suede near/underneath the cuffs on the left sleeve. You can hide these marks by stitchng the cuffs down and they would fall underneath the cuff out of sight.
