1940s Dusky Blue Dress Sheer, Retro Bows & Doily Print, Slip Dress Underneath, 2 Dresses in 1
1940s lovely sheer dusky blue dress with ribbon bow and doily print throughout. The bodice has a pointed collar, jet buttons down the front and the most adorable puff sleeves that are fashioned with an inner layer of fine tulle for the pouf, so sweet. There is a completely separate slip-dress to be worn underneath, fully tailored with darts and a side metal zip in the most beautiful aqua color that helps saturate the sheer overdress. Love this dress!
The sheer outer dress buttons down the front with jet faceted buttons and zips up the side with a metal zipper.
We paired the dress with a black slim cloth belt that is not included in this purchase. The velvet tie at the neckline is original to the dress and included.
Condition: Very Good. The dress structurally, is excellent. There are a few areas of slight hue variation, pinkish in nature and some very small yellow spots. These are all among the busy print and not glaringly noticeable. We 'dabbed' the dress with a barely damp cloth in some areas but have not dry cleaned.
