1940's Silky Goddess Drape Plunge Neckline Shawl Collar Batwing French Icon Dress
The silky slate grey fabric on this 1940's vintage dress drapes beautifully on the body and is printed with French terms and pronouns enhanced with flourishes of crowns, fleur de lis and other organic symbolism, very cool. The neckline features a shawl collar and plunges in front. The bodice is dolman or batwing for a very easy fit, the waist cinches in with an attached sash that closes at the back with a snap and the skirt is pleated in front with a wing type drape on each side/hip. A very soft and beautifuly draped vintage 40's dress.
By Julius Garfinckel & Co, the dress is unlined and zips up the side with a metal zipper.
Condition: Excellent/Very Good. Signs of yellowing under the arms is much easier to detect when the dress is lying flat.
