1950's Vintage Lace Wiggle Dress Matching LACE Bolero, Pink Champagne Satin Lining
Norman Original 1950's LACE Wiggle Dress with Matching Lace Bolero makes a great cocktail party set. The Lace is reinforced with embroidery and is a beautiful dusky blue color, the pink color of the satin lining pops through the lace, in lovely contrast. The lace bolero is unlined aside from the shawl collar which features the same pink satin as the underdress, and it closes with three lace covered buttons. The dress has beautiful seaming for a fuller bust but then narrows at the waist which leads into the slimming pencil skirt. I love the neckline on the dress, it has a gentle rounded scoop shape in front and a deeper 'V' in the back and further accentuated with the scallop edges of the lace, very very pretty. An amazing vintage cocktail dress with lace bolero, rare in it's own right.
Condition: Very Good. Under direct light you can detect a dusty look to the bolero sleeves, probably due to storage. The sleeves are unlined so this is not a glaring issue. The satin lining looks faded toward the bottom of the dress and around the shawl collar of the bolero. The patina over all does not stand out as a negative. You can see this in the images. Might benefit from a gentle cleaning. Priced accordingly.
