1950's Mauve Faille Sweetheart Embroidered Halter, Cinch Waist, Swing Skirt Vintage Party Dress
This 1950's Party Dress has a fabulous heart shaped panel stitched into the bodice that is embellished with wooly textured yarn embroidered into a starfish pattern and outlined with tiny black scrolling stitches and a smaller guage mauve rope-like yarn. The images will provide the visual of what I am attempting to describe. The cinch waist measures a tiny 23" and from here, the swing skirt creates more fun to complement the unique halter bodice.
The dress is unlined, has a side metal zipper, and the halter closes at the nape of the neck with a beautiful rhinestone button.
Condition: Good with Issues. There is some yellowing around the halter which can be seen in the photos. There were two darts in the bust which were let out leaving behind outlines where the creases from the darts were and detectable unfaded darker (like a shade, not an overwhelming difference in color) areas between these lines because that fabric was not exposed to the elements when it was tucked into the darts. Price reflects the issues.
