1950s Strapless Shelf Bust Yellow Tulle with Flower Applique Full Skirt Bombshell Vintage Prom Dress
The bodice features a scalloped neckline with two rows of gathered tulle peaking out from behind the entire circumference with a scalloped front and scoop back on this amazing 1950s tulle vintage party dress. A lovely applique of satin cord and rosettes play around the full skirt like decorations on a cake. There is a long train of tulle attached to the inside of the right bust that can be wrapped around the back of the neck, left hanging off the back or eliminated with the easy on/off snaps. The skirt is fashioned of three layers, the underskirt is tulle, the middle layer, a light lemony yellow taffeta followed by the outer appliqued tulle.
The bodice is boned and zips up the side with a metal zipper. The dress overall is very crisp, I want to use the word, 'stiff' which is how it went on to our dress form and why you see shadow and light on the bodice giving it a wrinkled appearance. I think on a person, it will relax a little more. It appears unworn so needs a little time on the dance floor to loosen up.
