1950's Vintage Party Dress Teal Lace Overlay, Matching Bolero with Bow, Belt
1950's Vintage Party Dress. The Aqua Chantilly Lace pops from the White Tafetta underlay in bold contrast. The sweetheart neckline of the white taffeta underlay of the dress gives a very flattering bustline and the fitted waist is darted for a smooth look and nipped in fit as it leads to a full skirt that can accomodate a crinoline for extra lift if that is your desired look. The bolero is an open fit with no closures and has a most adorable bow at the small of the back.
The dress is unlined and zips up the rear with a metal zipper.
In the photograph of the bolero one of the sleeves looks as if there is a break in the lace, that is just something the camera picked up in the lighting, there are breaks on the dress but not on the bolero. Purchased from the original owner, this dress was lovingly preserved in tissue and therefore spared of storage damage.
Condition: The dress is in very good condition, structurally it is excellent. Broken fragments of the lace netting in a few small areas, barely noticeable but present, noticeable underarm yellowing, a few very small scattered spots on the skirt of the dress. We have not attempted to clean. The bolero is in excellent condition. Priced for condition.
