Vintage 1940's Fringe Flapper Dress, Size L
This authentic vintage 1940's Fringe Flapper Dress is stunning. Made from a satin backed black crepe, it is styled with 3 tiers of long fringe (the strands are 12" in length). The sleeveless bodice is darted to accommodate a larger bust size, from here the dress hangs fairly straight with the three tiers of fringe beginning at the waist in a 'V' or chevron shape at the center. The sleek styling together with the weight of the fringe, allow this dress to fit over the body as a long straight silhouette, one that exudes the sophistication and beautiful tailoring always found in these 1940's dresses.
The dress is unlined, satin backed and zips up the side with a metal zipper.
Condition: Excellent with one small repair. There was a blemish in the fabric near the waist in front, we had it professional woven from the underside, it is still slightly detectable. The fabric is very sturdy so could easily accommodate the repair, you can see this in the last image.
