1940's Navy Polka Dot Dress, Double Skirt, Rhinestone Etched Buttons, Boston Maid, Size L
This 1940's Navy Dress by Boston Maid is like a dress within a dress. Made with two layers, the bodice has an attached silky polka dot lining that can be seen through the dark navy semi-sheer crepe outer dress. The same holds true for the skirt part of the dress only these are two distinct pieces so that the outer sheer part of the dress swings open to reveal the polka dot underdress completely especially when you walk and move about, very Lucy only instead of pants underneath, it's a skirt. The bodice has short cuffed sleeves and beautiful mahogany faceted lucite buttons with rhinestone centers. The outer dress closes to hip level exposing the adorable under-dress from there to the hem.
The dress is lined and closes down the front with buttons.
Condition: Excellent. Would be good to freshen up with a dry cleaning although there is a dry cleaning tag in the neck.
