Vtg 1960s Pink Lace Ribbon Embroidered Mad Men Cocktail Dress
Unbelievable ribbon detail creates a 3-D texture on this 1960s vintage cocktail dress as mint green stems with pale pink flowers trail in and out of the field of lace. The dress, fitted through the tank style bodice and waist, loosens up at the hips giving way to a slightly flared skirt. The look is deceivingly that of a wiggle dress but the skirt styling, with extra fabric and fullness, suggests otherwise. The structure is part wiggle part fit and flare, with seeming at the waist but also seams extending vertically down the front and back for a slightly fitted appearance. What you end up with is a flattering dress that fits comfortably and is easy to move and walk in.
The dress is fully lined with pale pink crepe at the bodice and sheer organza in the skirt and has a hand-stitched hem. It closes in the back with a hidden nylon zipper (see condition about zipping the dress).
Condition: The dress has some yellowing throughout from storage. You can see the yellowing in the images. The zipper tends to catch in the lining toward the top of the dress but it does work, just be mindful of the lining when zipping the dress.
