Vintage DKNY Vibrant Tiered Ruffled Festival Mermaid Dress
This Donna Karan festival dress is 100% silk with a vibrant paisley print in red, yellow, pink and baby blue on a deep navy blue backdrop. The bodice buttons down the front with delicate fabric-covered buttons, has floaty flutter sleeves and tiny gathers at the back of the neckline for a blousey fit in the back that is flattering and tailored in the front. The waist is seamed for an hourglass fit (almost looks like a bias cut when on the way the dress lays on the body). From here the mermaid skirt flutters to the hem with tiers of ruffles and a hi-low cut with a little extra length in the back. A complete work of art from Donna Karan.
The dress is sheer but comes with a separate nude silk underslip so the work is done, clean and ready to wear, it slips on over the head and cinches in at the back with attached fabric ties, this exquisite piece from Donna Karan bearing the DKNY label.
