1940s 50s Plunging Bombshell Ball Gown Black Pink Bow Full Skirt Vintage Dress
Unbelievable Vintage 1940s 50s Bombshell Ball Gown from a concert pianist. The gown is boned and fitted to the inch throughout the bodice for an hourglass shape. The seams lead down to an amazing like-nothing-we've-ever-seen very full skirt. The massive pink bow at the hip adds depth and dimension with a touch of color. You won't see another dress like this one, they don't fall into our laps everyday.
The bodice is very fitted with expert tailoring and boning front and back. The skirt is comprised of four (4) layers, two inner tulle layers (I'm talking miles of tulle) followed by an inner synthetic underskirt which acts as a buffer between the tulle and the silk over-skirt. This dress with all the inner workings, stands up on its own....and I don't think that's a bad thing! It closes down the rear with a metal zipper.
Please note on shipping, especially for international (outside the USA) customers, we will need to provide an additional shipping quote as this dress might need a crate!
Condition: Excellent. Recommend dry cleaning. Yellowing and spots on the pink bow and ribbon but still very pink. And a few tiny spots (dots really) in the skirt. We have not attempted to clean. Amazing regardless of the life it's lived and the places its been!
