Vintage 1970s Mod Fur Trim Mocha Jersey Maxi Column Dress
Crazy good MOD Mocha Jersey Maxi Vintage Column Dress with White Fur trim around the neckline and with velvet straps. From the center of the bust in the fur opening is the perfect place for a brooch, we used a Napier Crystal Fringe Brooch in some shots and a Schreiner Trembler in the other, please note the brooches are not included with the dress. Please email us if you are interested in either of the brooches, we do have them in 'stock' for separate purchase. The dress is gently pleated at the top center and free-falls from here to the hem. It is pretty much a straight silhouette aside from the pleats in the front. It has no pleating in the rear. The quality of the jersey is heavy giving enough weight to the draping for a smooth cascade down to the shoes.
The construction of this dress is couture quality. There is a completely separate attached slip with its own zipper to help in the overall smoothness of fit and wear, leaving you with a secure feeling so you can forget about yourself in the dress and enjoy the night. So mod so cool, this one is one of my favorites.
Condition: Excellent. There is some hand stitching inside the front center bodice, it looks like the prior owner wanted to secure the lining and the front pleats so all would stay in place, I think this is actually an improvement to the stability of the dress when on.
