1960s Beaded Brocade Chiffon Vintage Cocktail Dress, Size M/L!
The Brocade Bodice on this 1950s/60s Vintage Party Dress is adorned with beads and sequins that follow the floral pattern, I always love beading done in this way. The cream silk chiffon skirt is gently gathered at the waist which is piped in the brocade. A timeless and classic style and silhouette.
The bodice is lined, the hand stitching can be seen on the inside, meaning there is not a second layer of lining to cover the stitches (just thought I'd point this out). The skirt is comprised of three layers; a tulle inner skirt, a cream silky nylon/taffeta middle layer and the chiffon outer skirt.
This would be lovely as a Mother-of-the-Bride Dress.
Condition: Excellent. We had it lightly dry cleaned. You can see in the photos that in a few places, the lining/inner skirt is longer than the chiffon skirt, this can be hemmed in those areas. There are a few loose threads which may have led to minor sequin loss, but not detectable (no patches of missing beads or sequins).
